Kratom incense

There are people who like kratom incense for its relaxing properties in addition to its rich perfume. The aromatic preparation with this plant releases a fragrant smoke that is often compared to the aroma of some green and white teas. In some Southeast Asian societies, kratom incense has been used for millennia not only for personal comfort and well-being but also for ceremonial purposes.

The history of incense goes back thousands of years. According to inscriptions in temples, ritual drawings show that incense was already used in ceremonies in ancient Egypt. The Phoenicians carried incense logs in their ships to trade with the known world. There are records from ancient Rome about incense trade with Arabia, the Red Sea area and even China. Incense from Java and Sumatra became known in Renaissance Europe for its quality between the 15th and 16th centuries. Let us remember that Sumatra is one of the main centers of kratom production in the world.

The use of kratom as incense is purely for air freshening and relaxation, and some people even mix it with other scents of their choice to complement the desired experience, either with dried herbs or by adding drops of essential oils. There are countless ways and blends to burn kratom incense; it all depends solely on what works best for each person.

“The most obvious effect of using kratom as incense is the feeling of relaxation provided by inhaling the smoke of its powder. But be careful: the burning of kratom powder should be administered only and exclusively as incense.”

The amount of kratom needed to light a standard incense is about 5 grams, which should be enough to perfume the air with its aroma for at least an hour. Kratom leaf powder does not usually burn by itself, so the use of an incense burner, bamboo stick or charcoal disc is necessary as a base to enjoy the therapeutic experience.

The most obvious effect of using kratom as incense is the feeling of relaxation provided by inhaling the smoke of its powder. But be careful: the burning of kratom powder should be administered only and exclusively as incense. Kratom should never be smoked or inhaled in any other way, because beyond its ineffectiveness, it can cause damage to the human organism. Kratom is not a drug to be used irresponsibly for fun.

As a general recommendation, when burning any type of incense, one should never forget to keep the air circulating, due to the release of toxic gases such as carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide. Always make sure that when lighting incense there are no flammable or combustible materials near the burning area. It is essential that the smoke is clear: if it is dark or very concentrated, something is wrong and it is better to put it out. And last but not least: always choose natural incense instead of synthetic, as the latter may contain dangerous substances. It is also recommended not to expose yourself for more than two or three hours directly to the burning incense.
